North Macedonia to receive EUR 4 million for green energy

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing EUR 4 million for financing green energy investments in North Macedonia, BalkanEngineer.com learned from CIJEurope.com. The funds will be received through Ohridska Banka.

 

 

The financing will be used to improve energy efficiency in the country. It will be allocated for residential buildings insulations, measures for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and for improving the households’ quality of life.

 

The funding will be provided by the EU through the Regional Energy Efficiency Programme for the Western Balkans. So far, the EBRD has invested more than EUR 1.9 billion in over 110 projects in North Macedonia.
