Nibe Industrier becomes the owner of Gorenje’s Serbian plant

The Swedish manufacturer of water heaters Nibe Industrier becomes the owner of Gorenje’s plant for home appliances in Serbia, BalkanEngineer.com learned from SEENews.com. The transaction amount has not been disclosed.

 

 

Up until now, Gorenje has been present in Serbia through its subsidiary Gorenje Tiki, which operated a manufacturing facility in Stara Pazova. After acquiring the plant, Nibe Industrier also becomes the owner of the heating appliances brand Tiki. Through the deal, the Swedish manufacturer aims to consolidate its market position in Europe and to increase its production capacity.

 

Gorenje Tiki was founded in 1951, specializing in the production and marketing of boilers and heat pumps. The company registers annual sales worth approximately EUR 35 million.
