Metito Utilities to build a wastewater facility in Serbia

Metito Utilities will build a wastewater treatment plant in the city of Zrenjanin, Serbia, BalkanEngineer.com learned from eKapija.com.

 

 

The project is part of a larger interstate project, within the agreement signed between Serbia and the United Arab Emirates. Based on this agreement, the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management has signed a Memorandum of Understanding which pertains to wastewater treatment, according to the Zrenjanin`s website.

 

The funds invested by Metito Utilities is amounted to EUR 22 mln, and the facility will be built next to the Industrial Zone Southeast.

 

The mayor of Zrenjanin, Simo Salapura, said that according to the plan, the construction activities will start within a year, and will last over 20 months. Moreover, Salapura said that 40 people will be hired and the capacity of the facility will be sufficient to cover the needs of the entire city.
