Mennekes to invest EUR 10 million in a Romanian plant for cables

Mennekes, a German manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment, plans to invest EUR 10 million in a factory for charging cables for electric cars in Romania, BalkanEngineer.com learned from Romania-Insider.com.

 

 

The investment project will be realized in the industrial park in Miroslava near the city of Iași. Through its local subsidiary in Romania, the company has received EUR 3.7 million funding from the state for the new factory.

 

Mennekes operates in more than 90 countries and works with leading automakers such as Tesla, Jaguar, Mercedes, BMW and others. The manufacturer entered the Romanian market in 2018 with the establishment of Mennekes Electric in Cluj-Napoca.
