Kaufland Bulgaria opened a new logistics center

On 27th March 2019, Kaufland Bulgaria opened its new warehouse in the country, which adds to the logistics center in Rakovski Industrial Zone, Stryama, Plovdiv, the company informed BalkanEngineer.com. The value of the investment project exceeds BGN 64 million.

 

  

"With a total area of ​​359 000 m2 the logistics center of Kaufland Bulgaria is one of the largest on the Balkan Peninsula", the company reported.

 

Kaufland's new acquisition will provide about 100 job positions. It is designed for non-food products and it will be used to store kitchen appliances, household textiles, clothing, stationery and others. 53 ramps for delivery of goods and materials were built and racks for another 30 000 storage pallets were created.

 

The first logistics center of Kaufland Bulgaria serves all 59 hypermarkets in the country, with around 600 employees working there. It is designed for storage of various items and is divided into warehouses with different temperature regimes.
