Interenergo and Trigal to build a wind farm in North Macedonia

The Slovenian subsidiary of the energy company Kelag - Interenergo, and the investment company Trigal will build the Gevgelija wind farm in the Municipality of Bogdanci, North Macedonia, BalkanEngineer.com learned from BalkanGreenEnergyNews.com. The plant will have a capacity of 30 MW, and the investment is estimated to be 40 EUR million.

 

 

The wind farm is expected to generate 72 GWh of energy per year supplying 18 000 households. According to Interenergo`s CEO Blazh Sterk, the company intends to install six wind turbines, which will be commissioned by 2023.

 

Sterk also pointed out that Interenergo is one of the most active investors in Southeast Europe in the field of electricity production from green and sustainable energy sources. The company has been operating in North Macedonia for ten years now.

 

Trigal is a joint venture founded by the German company KGAL and the Slovenian insurance company Triglav.
