Grundfos acquires EUWA – a German company specializing in water treatment technologies for the food and beverage industry

The Danish group Grundfos has completed the acquisition of the German specialist EUWA, whose solutions for clean water are used in the brewing industry and soft drink production in over 110 countries, BalkanEngineer.com was informed of this by the company. This deal is part of Grundfos’s strategy to expand its presence in the water sector for the food industry, and it is the result of several other investments in the field. EUWA retains its team and operational autonomy, with the initial focus being on the smooth integration of the two companies.

Established in 1965, headquarters in Gärtringen, Germany, EUWA develops solutions for clean water for the brewing industry and the production of non-alcoholic beverages, with their installations being present in over 110 countries around the world, and among their clients are some of the biggest, most recognizable companies. Besides their headquarters in Germany, the company has an office in Singapore.

The company is known for its strong technological and engineering expertise, offering solutions that cover the entire process for clean water in the production of drinks. The key advantage of EUWA is its deep knowledge of technological processes and its ability to offer solutions that are relevant to the client, flexible and effective, while at the same time reducing the amount of water, chemicals and energy being used. Tom Finke, Head of Water Treatment at Grundfos, noted that EUWA, like Grundfos, is a family-owned company with a clear commitment to sustainability, and that its expertise—including hygienic design for food and beverage industry applications—will strengthen the Group's ability to solve complex challenges for its customers.

The deal marks another step in Grundfos’s strategy to expand its water technology business, following a series of investments aimed at boosting capacity and broadening the company’s portfolio across various markets and applications. Michael Eumann, Director of EUWA, expressed satisfaction that the company’s legacy and solutions would reach more customers globally and voiced confidence that the business would continue to thrive under Grundfos’s wing.
