GreenWEEE International is planning a third recycling plant in Romania

The company for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment GreenWEEE International plans to build a third plant in Romania, BalkanEngineer.com learned from Romaniajournal.ro. The investment will be worth 10 million euro.

 

 

The company, a member of Green Group, has been present in the country since 2009 and today operates two recycling facilities in Buzau and Campia Turzii. The future third plant of GreenWEEE International will be equipped with the latest technologies for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment, increasing the company’s total recycling capacity by 30%. The facility is expected to be fully operational in the fourth quarter of 2022.

 

The project will be financed by OTP Bank Romania. It is also the latest in a series of significant strategic investments by GreenWEEE International, which seeks to create a sustainable economic model in line with the EU’s pursuit to combat climate change and transition to a circular economy.
