The German company Sennheiser, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of microphones, headphones and wireless transmission systems, has announced its plans for the building of a new factory in Brasov, Romania. The new plant will be located in the Brasov Industrial Park, and its production will be mainly oriented to the end user, BalkanEngineer.com learned from Romania-Insider.com.

The main reason for choosing Brasov for location is the availability of good infrastructure as well as the excellent level of connectivity with the European Economic Community, pointed out the company. The aim of the investment is to further strengthen Sennheiser’s position on the European electronic market.

The company was established in 1945 and today is one of the largest home electronics manufacturer, providing a work place for nearly 2,800 employees worldwide.
