Software company Endava has opened a development centre in Nis, Serbia. It will work on various software products in the fields of finance, media, mobile applications, retail, logistics and medicine for more than 680 customers worldwide, Balkanengineer.com has learned from Ekarija.com

By opening its fifth location in Serbia, Endava aims to recruit IT experts from the south of the country and contribute to the decentralization of the domestic IT market.

According to Remi Savu, Endava's regional manager for the Adriatic region, opening an office in Nis is a natural move as it is a city that is becoming an increasingly important hub on Serbia's IT map. In addition to this, a good mix of IT experts, good technical faculties, good language skills and a good working culture add to the success factors expected from the Niš office, which opened just a year after the Novi Sad one.

Endava's new centre will provide multiple opportunities for local engineers as it will hire developers and IT experts from all profiles. Aleksandar Radivojevic, Business Analytics Sector Manager at Endava, expects that  the career development opportunities within the company, working with large and respected clients and the latest technologies will attract young and talented professionals.

Endava also plans to work closely with the University of Nis to develop quality programmes tailored to the market needs.
