ElevenEs builds battery megafactory in Subotica, Serbia

ElevenEs is building the first battery megafactory in Europe in Serbia, with the project to be implemented in the city of Subotica. The planned production of lithium-phosphate batteries with a capacity of 1 GWh will take place on an area of 178,000 m2 and will create new opportunities for sustainable development in the region, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from Money.bg.

The factory will provide advanced technological solutions and meet the needs of the green energy industry, using innovative battery production technologies.

The project will start in 2025 and will create new jobs and economic growth opportunities in the region. In addition to the main production, combustible material storage facilities and energy blocks will be built, and three more gigafactories are expected to be built, employing over 20,000 people.
