Ekoplast S is building a state-of-the-art plastic packaging complex in Šabac, northwestern Serbia

The Serbian company Ekoplast S has officially launched a project to build a new, modern factory for the production of plastic packaging in the city of Šabac, BalkanEngineer.com learned from BizSrbija.rs. The new production facility will be located in the city’s developing industrial zone and is a response to the increased demand for high-quality packaging solutions from the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries in the region.

The future industrial complex will include modern production halls, storage areas for raw materials and finished products, as well as an administrative building for the management team. The project envisages the implementation of the latest generation of energy-efficient plastic injection molding and extrusion machines, which will enable the company to significantly increase its production capacity. As part of its commitment to sustainable development, Ekoplast S plans to integrate systems for recycling industrial waste, thereby reducing the environmental footprint of its production.

The decision to choose Šabac as the location for the investment was driven by the city’s excellent location, its well-developed industrial infrastructure, and the local authorities’ proactive policy for attracting business. Construction of the new plant is expected to be completed shortly, which will create new jobs for technical specialists in the region and stimulate the local economy through partnerships with regional suppliers and logistics companies.
