The Chinese company Shandong Yanggu Huatai Chemical is planning to build a sulfur production facility worth EUR 30 million in Northern Serbia, BalkanEngineer.com learned from SeeNews.com. The investment is expected to create 101 job positions.

In late September, Shandong Yanggu Huatai Chemical signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Serbian government to build a factory for sulfur on an 8 ha plot. The plant will supply raw materials to another factory for tire production of the company, whose construction began in March this year and is worth EUR 800 million.

The sulfur plant will be equipped with an automated production system. Shandong Yanggu Huatai Chemical plans to launch the facility after three years.
