The new production facility will be located within the TIRZ Skopje 1 (Technological and Industrial Development Zone) and will span 10,000 m2, making it twice the size of the company's existing plant in the country. The expansion will bring Cagatay Kablo's total number of employees in the country to 500.

The Turkish company already has a solid presence in the region, having initially entered the Macedonian market in 2018 with a 4 million  euro investment. Çağatay Cable supplies cables to some of the largest manufacturers of buses, commercial and construction vehicles, tractors, air conditioning systems and specialized airport and cleaning equipment. The company was founded in 1998 in Turkey and today focuses on high quality solutions for the automotive and industrial sectors.

Construction is expected to be completed within 2026 and the factory will also introduce new production technologies, which in turn will strengthen North Macedonia's industrial capacity in the automotive sector.
