Romania is taking a new, even more innovative step towards the digitalization of education with the introduction of the Saro AI assistant in schools and universities. The project was developed by the Digital Nation organization and launched in partnership with the Ministry of Education, BalkanEngineer.com learned from the official press release about the project.

Saro uses artificial intelligence to assist pupils, students and teachers with personalised feedback, motivational analysis and planning of learning tasks. The goal is to reduce dropouts and improve learner engagement and success.
1,200 people are participating in the pilot phase and $150,000 has been invested to implement it. An additional grant of 700,000 dollars was provided by Google.org to expand the project and integrate it into more educational institutions.
Romania's Minister of Education, Daniel David, stressed that such technologies will change the way teaching and learning is done and noted that Romania must be prepared for the future.
