Albania launches tender to build modern agro-educational complex near Tirana

The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) has launched a 5 million euro tender for the design and construction of a modern agricultural complex in the village of Valias, located next to the capital Tirana. The news was published on the country's official e-procurement website, where BalkanEngineer.com also learned the news.

Under the terms of the tender, the selected contractor will take over the overall management of the project, from technical design and costing to obtaining the necessary permits and the construction itself. The activities are expected to be completed within two years after the contract is signed.

The planned complex will combine functionality and education, and will include a multi-storey main building, modern water collection and storage systems equipped with pumping stations, energy-efficient electrical installations, as well as external infrastructure - road network, landscaping and park space. The idea behind the project is to create a sustainable model for agricultural development, combining production, training and demonstration activities in a single platform.

Bids will be accepted until 16 June 2025, with increased interest expected from construction and engineering companies with experience in similar infrastructure initiatives.
