When talking about charging electrical vehicles, we still can’t pinpoint a “universally correct” solution – however, we can say that there’s a right solution based on a concrete location. And in many cases, it is the difference between a standalone and a double-sided charging station that is the basis for the success of a business model, whether it is a hotel, shopping center, or logistics park. Leading company T&D Engineering, as a producer and system integrator of electrical charging stations, focuses on a personalized approach when setting up such systems. "Our role is to tell the investor both what he is buying today and how he will maintain it tomorrow. The distinction between a single and a double post is the first step towards building a functional and reliable charging point," T&D Engineering informed BalkanEngineer.com.

When designing a charging station, often the architecture of the network needs to be adapted to the limitations regarding space and energy distribution. Independent charging stations (with one port) are the base instrument, where the intent is flexible distribution of power. It works as an independent link – it has its own charge, controller and protection, characteristics which are rather useful in spread out parking spaces or when infrastructure is built “piece by piece”. "When it comes to isolated parking spaces on different levels in the building, it makes no sense to run kilometers of cables to a central station. It is easier and more cost-effective to place independent points exactly where cars stop," the company said.
The company's product portfolio divides standalone solutions into two main technology categories: systems for quick charging (DC) and standard stations for alternating current (AC). In projects requiring high power per individual post, the eCS PC-A model is proving to be the most sustainable solution. The structure is meant for independent installation on a foundation and has a high degree of protection against severe weather conditions.
